Power Outages In South Bay Affecting Thousands

SOUTH BAY, CA — Some 1,850 PG&E customers were without power Monday afternoon as outages hit the South Bay. At 2 p.m., the PG&E website showed eight outages affecting 1,853 in San Jose; one outage affecting 33 in Morgan Hill; three outages affecting 10 customers in Saratoga; two outages affecting two customers in Los Gatos; and three outages affecting 233 customers in Watsonville.

Some customers have been without power since as early as 9 am. and 11 a.m. Monday. PG&E has sent crewsto the areas to investigate what may be causing the outages and to work on restoring service, according to the company's website.
