Road Rage Gets Uglier With Knife Pulled Inside Gilroy Supermarket: Police

BREAKING: When pair bumped into each other at Safeway, one produced a folding knife and threatened to kill the other, police said.

GILROY, CA โ€“ Gilroy police are seeking a suspect who allegedly took a road-rage incident to a life-threatening level inside a supermarket.

The two drivers, who engaged in described "road rage" at about 8 p.m. on Oct. 30, encountered each other in a Gilroy Safeway where an additional argument ensued, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

During the squabble, the suspect reportedly pulled a 3-inch to 4-inch folding knife on the other party, threatening to stab the person if he did not leave the store, police said.

The suspect was seen leaving the market parking lot heading east on Wren Avenue, police said.

The department released photos of the suspect and his vehicle.
