Looking for something to do around town this weekend? Well, look no further because Patch has done the research, and compiled a list of five fun things to do around town on Friday and over the weekend.
Art Exhibit at City Hall
When/Where: The city hall office, located at 7351 Rosanna St. Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Feb. 29.

Why Go: The City of Gilroy is featuring a rotating exhibit of local artists' work. One local artist is Joanne Perez Robinson, who has her watercolor paintings on display.

Alternative/Indie Music at 9Lives
When/Where: Friday at 9Lives, located at 7430 Monterey St.
Why Go: The bands Late Night District and Soulful Obsession are performing. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music begins at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
Price: $5
"On the Town" at South Valley Civic Theater
When/Where: Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, located at 17090 Monterey St. on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Why Go: The play tells the story of three sailors in WWII who are given a 24-hour shore leave in New York City. One can only imagine all the mischief they get themselves into.
Price: General admission: $18, seniors and students: $14
When/Where: Saturday at 9Lives, located at 7430 Monterey St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Why Go: Why not? It's a benefit for children with Crohn's Disease, an inflammatory bowl disorder. All money will go to Camp Oasis, a camp that provides 24-hour medical care and allows children and their parents to attend for free. Plus, four Reggae/rock bands are performing: Animo, Wasted Noise, Thrive and Just Chill. There will also be a raffle, photo shoot and food.

White House Hispanic Community Action Summit
When/Where: At 3095 Yerba Buena Rd., San Jose on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Why Go: It's an opportunity to chat with senior Obama Administration officials who come from diverse policy areas. There will be community leaders, business owners and other stakeholders present who will be discussing issues that are critical to the Hispanic community. Click to learn more about their goals.
