Community Corner
Glendora Relay For Life Set For June 8
Participants find motivation from those who share stories of survival.

Bound by the courage of survivorship and the memory of loved ones lost, nearly 20 teams and 200 participants will join each other in June for Relay For Life.
Teams of community members gather at Louie Pompei Memorial Sports Park to walk, jog or run laps during the relay. Each team must have at least one member actively participating on the track during the 24-hour event, from June 8 to June 9. The event raises funding for the American Cancer Society.
Food will also be provided and participants will be selling crafts. There are also raffles and prizes.
Participants can purchase a luminaria as a tribute to a loved one who has survived cancer, or who has succumbed to the disease. Those who purchase a luminaria can assign their donation dollars to a Relay For Life event, team, or participant and help them get closer to their fundraising goal.
A large line up of bands is slated for Relay For Life this year, providing music all day on June 8. Some of the musical attractions include Stan West, The Kim Martin Band, The Jackson Family Band and Modern Vinyl.
