
Serrano Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invites interested women to attend a special meeting on Tuesday evening October 22, 2013 at Bidwell Forum in the Glendora Public Library, 140 S. Glendora Ave., Glendora.
The business portion of the meeting will begin at 5:00 PM followed by guest speaker Nancy Kibourn who will present a program on the American Revolutionary War and General George Rogers Clark. The meeting will conclude at 7:30 PM.
Members and guests are asked to bring their own homemade "sack dinner" or favorite takeout meal, coffee, tea and cookies will be provided.
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a non-profit volunteer women's organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through better education for children.
Any woman over 18 regardless of race, religion or ethnic background who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War is eligible for membership.
