โข Double homicide under investigation at Greenfield gas station (salinasvalleytribune.com) โ Two people were found dead late Monday night at the Fastrip gas station on El Camino Real in Greenfield, and police are treating the case as a double homicide. Investigators are asking anyone with photos or video from around 10:50 p.m. Monday to upload them through an online portal as they work to piece together what happened.

โข Monterey County Jail inmate sentenced in deadly 10-minute jail stabbing, DA says (ksbw.com) โ A 21-year-old Greenfield resident has been sentenced to 31 years to life in prison for murdering another inmate during a prolonged stabbing attack at Monterey County Jail in March. Prosecutors say he and a fellow gang member cornered the victim in his cell, used homemade weapons, and then tried to hide evidence before the killing was discovered during a routine check.
