• Gridley Advocate Presses County for Mental Health Support (gridleyherald.com) — A Gridley city councilmember is pressing Butte County leaders to maintain and expand mental health services for south county residents, warning that local outreach programs could be cut. He highlighted Gridley’s past high suicide rate, praised plans for a new clinic in town, and urged supervisors not to scale back services for farmworkers, children, seniors, and other vulnerable groups.

The proposal would fund planning, data collection, and temporary traffic-calming trials, while still allowing the city to make immediate safety fixes as needed.
