Another Mountain Lion Sighted in Half Moon Bay
This is the third sighting in less than a week.

San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies investigated a possible mountain lion sighting in Half Moon Bay on Monday night. The incident was reported at 9:35 p.m. Monday in the vicinity of Highway 1 and Miramontes Point Road.
Deputies took a report of the sighting and searched the surrounding area, but did not locate the animal.
The public is strongly advised not to approach mountain lions, especially if they’re feeding or with their offspring. People are further advised to avoid hiking or jogging during the dawn, dusk and nighttime hours when mountain lions are most active, according to the sheriff’s office.
