Half Moon Bay Brewing Company invites members of the community to enjoy a cold brew and a fresh view on American politics and social issues during Brews and Views, the Coastside brewery’s popular speakers’ series. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy the breweries’ seasonal menu and special beers.

Brews and Views welcomes Assemblyman Rich Gordon and San Mateo County District 1 Supervisor Dave Pine for a discussion about our rising sea level and how it will affect the coast and beyond. Attendees will find out how our elected officials are approaching this local and global problem through this Brews and Views panel which will also include moderator Lenny Mendonca. Following the discussion between Gordon, Pine and Mendonca, there will be a Q&A with the audience.

Brews and Views welcomes Molly Sullivan, chief of strategy and innovation for the US Department of the Navy, for a discussion about the US Navy’s perspective on security problems in the digital age. This Brews and Views will discuss how the US Navy is thinking about the intersection between the physical and digital worlds and why fostering collaboration between the government and technology start-up communities is a key component to success and security in the information age. Following the discussion, Mendonca and Sullivan will open the floor for a Q&A with the audience.
