El Granada Mountain Lion Sighting Reported

Sheriff's officials are encouraging people to use caution if they go into the area. (breaking)

EL GRANADA, CA — Someone saw a mountain lion early Tuesday morning in the unincorporated San Mateo County community of El Granada, county emergency officials said.

The mountain lion was seen at about 5:50 a.m. in front of 366 El Granada Blvd., which is on the edge of Rancho Corral de Tierra in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Sheriff's deputies went to the area to look for the animal but didn't find it.
