Livestock and Land Program for Local Horse Owners

The San Mateo County Resource Conservation District is
hosting a FREE Livestock and Land Program workshop this Saturday September 29 for local horse owners.   This workshop helps horse and livestock owners to better understand how “hardened surfaces” in stalls, paddocks, and manure bunkers can help improve animal health, increase chore efficiency, reduce mud and dust, and address potential water quality problems.  Presenters are Carol Verbeeck and Bruce Horttor, owners of the general engineering construction company, Building the Equestrian Dream.

The workshop is being held on a private ranch in Montara.  It is free but reservations are required.  Refreshment and lunch will be provided.  For reservations and directions, please call (650) 712-7765 x 104 or email holly@sanmateorcd.org.
