A baby is born, a check is in the mail, a job offer comes through. Feel even better about Friday with good news this week from your neighbors in Pacifica to Half Moon Bay.

Ahh, it's Friday. And we've got one more reason for you to feel even better about Friday. Good news is happening around you.

Patch asked readers on Facebook to share their good news this week. Here’s what your neighbors from Pacifica to Half Moon Bay had to say, offering up their happy news shared to inspire. 

On Wednesday, Michelle Long Cleave wrote in to share the exciting news about Half Moon Bay High School graduate, Amber Cleave Ricchetti, class of 2002, and her husband Matt and baby Giovanni, who were pictured in Times Square this week. Matt is president at Glu Mobile Gaming, and he gave the earnings report at Nasdaq in New York Wednesday.

Heather Sawick Kennedy is stoked this week because her second first-author scientific paper just got accepted for publication.  

Amy Rosenberg Allshouse writes in, “Yah, a new HMB native!” about the birth of Jacob Allshouse, born on Monday at a hospital in Burlingame. Jacob joins Mom, Dad, a big brother and three big sisters at their house on Myrtle Street in Half Moon Bay.

Congratulations are also in order for Lori Bevilacqua of Pacifica, who had a “super happy day” Thursday. She received a job offer after being laid off from a job that she had for 22 years.

Crystal Sigler Morrill also of Pacifica had some great news to share about the Farmer’s Market this week. “The strawberries and cherries at the farmers market are delicious and beautiful right now!” she writes.

Pacifica resident Maureen Murray’s good news was that she was having a good time at Yappy Hour Thursday night with AnnaBee's Doggie Boutique and Café of Pacifica at The Ritz-Carlton.

Heiko Gieraths of Pacifica was simply happy to share that “beautiful things happen every day, and I love this idea. I wanted to start a news station that focused on all the good news of the world.”

Cnith Theonliestone’s good news is that the sun is out and “we’re alive to see it and feel it! It's another day in paradise!”

Good news also came in the form of financial relief for one Coastside resident, Dee Harris, who wrote in that she received a check in the mail this week for “a lot of money from my mortgage lender for wrongly foreclosing on my house.”
