Flooding has closed both directions of state Highway 92 in Half Moon Bay Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 92 by Main Street are closed due to about 2.5 feet of water in the lanes, CHP officials said.

A Sig-alert was issued at 6:26 p.m. and there is no estimated time of when lanes will reopen, according to the CHP.

Motorists are advised to be cautious in the area and follow directions from officers, CHP officials said.
