Great White Shark Warning Issued
The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office urges people to "Use Caution."
HALF MOON BAY, CA — Great White Sharks have been spotted in Half Moon Bay, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
The sharks have been spotted between the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Pillar Point Harbor. Multiple pilots report seeing the sharks. The flight pattern for Half Moon Bay Airport takes planes directly over the area where the sightings have been reported.
For reference, Pillar Point is where Mavericks Surf Challenge is held.
