Half Moon Bay Condemns Hatred After Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

From Half Moon Bay City: The City of Half Moon Bay today condemned the senseless loss of life in last weekend's mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA. In light of that appalling hate-fueled action, the City has reiterated its long-standing dedication to inclusiveness and acceptance of people and families of all cultures and creeds in the Half Moon Bay community.
"This horrific act of violence in Pittsburgh saddens and angers all who work to stem the rhetoric of hatred that has been promoted by some of those at the highest level of governance in our nation," said Mayor Deborah Penrose. "The people who make their home in our nation do so under our society's cornerstone belief in each person's freedom to live and prosper. The City of Half Moon Bays stands in solidarity and support of the families and communities suffering the grief of this and any racial, ethnic and religious ignorance and hatred."
