Mom Found Dead, 7-Year-Old Missing Near Moss Landing: Reports

MOSS LANDING, CA — Emergency personnel were searching Thursday for a possible missing 7-year-old near Moss Landing after the child's mother was found dead in the water, according to reports.

A 3-year-old boy told a good Samaritan that his mother was missing, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The woman was discovered Wednesday night, KSBW reported.

The boy said later that his older brother was also missing and a search for the child began, but was suspended early Thursday afternoon, according to the Coast Guard.
