PHOTOS: A Wet And Wild Pumpkin Weigh-off

New California record set Monday in Half Moon Bay.

Despite the dampness, the largest pumpkins ever weighed rolled into Half Moon Bay Monday morning.

Folks came to the occasion dressed in pumpkin garb. Jim Stevens entertained with original tunes and the Half Moon Bay High School Band played "Time Warp," "Kung Foo Fighting" and "Y.M.C.A." as the forklifts brought the giants to the stage to be weighed.

When the fog lifted, Leonardo Urena of Napa with his 1,704-lb. gourd in the overall contest, which became a new state record.
