PHOTOS: Romney Met By Protesters on Peninsula
The Republican presidential candidate came to town for a fundraising dinner Monday evening at Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City.

Activist groups protesting outside the 5:30 p.m. reception included Occupy Redwood City, Raging Grannies and the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment.
Raging Grannies member Ruth Robertson said her group adopted "billionaire personas" as they stood outside the event with signs mocking people who were driving in to attend.

Protesters wore fake fur and held signs reading "Corporations are People, Too," she said.
"We think by mocking them it might bring them down a rung or two," Robertson said.

Members of Occupy Redwood City also attended the protest as "pretend" millionaires.
