Pumpkin Festival, Day 2: What's To Come?
After yesterday's parade, costume contest, and pie-eating hijinks, the Pumpkin Festival and Half Moon Bay Patch still has more in store for you.

Yesterday was quite a flurry of activity at the Pumpkin Festival for everyone involved -- whether you drove four hours to get here, or just had to walk only 5 minutes from home to get to Main Street. Perhaps some of you are Half Moon Bay residents but are reading this from inside your warm living rooms, vowing not to come out until the festival is over and the crowds and traffic are gone...or maybe you used to live in the area and are looking for a familiar reminder of the place you used to call home.
No matter where you are, we'll be providing more stories and photos from the Pumpkin Festival on its second and last day. If you missed the Pumpkin Run, there still are a whole lot of other activities out there for you to check out.
- Pumpking carving -- showing the process from the perspective of kids and expert Farmer Mike
- Music performances from the various stages around the Festival (visit here for the schedule)
- Photos and interviews with the craftspeople and food vendors about their wares (with a special focus on all things pumpkin!)
- You! We need you to post your photos and videos, and comments about your experiences at the Festival. Or send me them via email if you are in a rush: kristine.wong@patch.com
