Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay Foundation Opens Funding Opportunity

Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay will fund 1-2 local projects in 2018, with funds ranging from $5,000-$10,000 for the Coastside Community

The Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay Foundation has released its annual application for local project funding to the local nonprofit community. Awards will range from $5,000-$10,000, with a maximum of two awards granted in 2018.

Past project awards have included:

Outdoor classroom for The HEAL Project, a hands on educational program to teach children ages 5-18 about sustainable agriculture and healthy nutrition practices

Fishing trip for 25 disabled veterans for the Purple Heart Anglers

Funding for the Coastside RotaCare Clinic, which provided free care for those in need in Half Moon Bay

The deadline for application is February 27th, and the project award announcement will be made on March 9th. The award recipients will be honored at this year’s Magic of the Coastside fundraiser, scheduled for June 2 at the IDES Hall. The Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay is seeking projects that benefit the under-served in our local community and that focus on health and wellness, youth development, seniors, the poor, and minorities.

The Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay is one of 34,000 clubs around the world and is proud to be a supporter of the HEAL Project. Rotary International’s signature cause is the eradication of polio, and the end is in sight with just two countries in the world with endemic cases.
