Rotary Club Key Programs for September Focus on Youth

The Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay announces its key programs for September. Club members are supporting the Nick of Time Foundation http://nickoftimefoundation.org/ in its very first heart health screening for youth in California at Half Moon Bay High School on September 26th. Nick of Time Foundation seeks to reduce the tragic deaths of youth with undetected heart conditions, an issue that is of major concern to young athletes. You’ll also see members cleaning up Venice Beach on September 26, beach cleanup day
Health is a major focus for Rotary International with the eradication of polio worldwide its top initiative. Locally, the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay raises funds to support its local signature cause – RotaCare, the free medical clinic for the uninsured in Half Moon Bay and the surrounding Coastside communities.
The fifty plus members of the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay donate time and money to support the under-served in the community and around the world. The Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay is one of 34,000 clubs around the world. The primary mission of Rotary International is the worldwide eradication of polio, and the goal is within reach. The Half Moon Bay Club meets each Thursday for lunch at the Portuguese Center at 724 Kelly Street in downtown Half Moon Bay.
