San Mateo County to Hold Workshop to Present Draft Highway 1 Preliminary Planning Study

San Mateo County has been working on a study related to bike and pedestrian access along HIghway 1. The team will be presenting thas prepared the Draft Preliminary Planning Study at a public workshop on March 11, 2015. The public is invited to attend this meeting and comment on the Study.
The Study addresses congestion, throughput and vehicular, pedestrian and bicyclist safety along a 7-mile-stretch of Highway 1. The projects are in the unincorporated San Mateo County Midcoast that stretches from Gray Whale Cove south to Mirada Road in Miramar. The types of improvements proposed for this section of Highway 1 include designated pedestrian crossings, left-turn lanes, acceleration lanes, and raised medians.
