VIDEO: One Minute with a California Quail in Half Moon Bay

This male seems to be calling for a mate.

Usually skittish, this quail landed just a few feet from me and proceded to chirp away for 10 minutes. I recorded him near my home in Canada Cove for your viewing pleasure.
