'Well Below Average' Temps Expected In Half Moon Bay: Weekend Weather Forecast

National Weather Service officials say there's a slight chance of showers in part of the Bay Area this weekend.

HALF MOON BAY, CA – Planning your weekend around the Bay Area? Though we're nearing summer, you can still expect some cooler temperatures.

"Temperatures will remain well below seasonal averages, especially inland, through the upcoming weekend," the National Weather Service said on Friday. "In addition, there is a slight chance of showers across the northern portion of the region Saturday with possible thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon."

Come next week, a gradual warming trend is expected.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. West northwest wind 8 to 14 mph.

Saturday
Partly sunny, with a high near 60. West wind 8 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. West northwest wind around 14 mph.

Sunday
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 57. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Monday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.
