• LAX Receives $289M Federal Infrastructure Grant (mynewsla.com) — Hawthorne Municipal Airport is getting a $700,771 federal grant to upgrade its taxiway lighting, a safety and infrastructure boost right in the city’s backyard. The funding is part of a broader U.S. Department of Transportation package that also sends nearly $290 million to LAX and money to other regional airports for terminal and runway improvements.
