• 'We had a mission': Local couple photographs hundreds of historic schools (pressdemocrat.com) — A Northern California couple has spent 13 years motorcycling backroads to photograph more than 300 historic one-room schools, including Daniels School and Alexander Valley School in the Healdsburg area. Their project documents how many former schoolhouses across Sonoma County and beyond have been repurposed as homes, inns, galleries, churches, and theaters while preserving local history.
