1. SMART Board Announces Geyserville Station Rail Project Decision (patch.com) — Passenger rail service between Healdsburg and Cloverdale took a step forward as SMART's board voted to add a new Geyserville station project to its official program. While construction is not yet funded, officials say the added stop should strengthen efforts to complete the voter-approved line north of Healdsburg and improve regional connections for residents and businesses in northern Sonoma County.
2. Another Vision For Coveted, But Still Empty, Wine Country Landmark (patch.com) — A long-vacant industrial building at 444 Healdsburg Avenue may finally be reborn as a live-work space with offices, a residence, and a public art garden open to the community. New owners Kenny and Erin Werner propose preserving the structure's historic industrial character while adding landscaping, art installations, and modest parking changes, with the Planning Commission set to review updated plans on August 25.
3. Smoke Testing On Neighborhood Sewers Planned In Healdsburg (patch.com) — Healdsburg neighbors near Twin Oaks Way, Spruce Way, and Oakleaf Avenue are being asked to prepare for sewer smoke testing that will affect up to 50 homes. City crews will send non-toxic smoke through local sewer lines to find cracks or bad connections, and residents are urged to run water in drains and flush toilets beforehand to keep smoke and sewer gas out of homes.
4. Single-family home sells for $635,000 in Healdsburg (pressdemocrat.com) — A Healdsburg home at 1050 Trentadue Way just sold for $635,000, and several nearby properties have also changed hands recently, offering a snapshot of local prices and sizes.
