1. Art Nite Opens Healdsburg's Four-Day Design Celebration (patch.com) — Healdsburg's monthly Art Nite is teaming up with the four-day Design Healdsburg festival to turn downtown into a walkable celebration of galleries, design talks, and cultural spaces. Residents can enjoy free gallery walks, beer and pretzels, passport perks at local restaurants and tasting rooms, and a look inside the True West Film Center, while a new Healdsburg Culture Crew launches to support arts events year-round.
2. Where did all the Sonoma County school board candidates go? Here's why you won't see many on the 2026 ballot (pressdemocrat.com) — Healdsburg Unified's Trustee Area 5 race won't appear on this fall's ballot because the number of candidates matched the available seat, meaning the trustee will be appointed without an election. Countywide, most school board contests are similarly uncontested, leaving several vacancies to be filled by appointment and raising concerns about civic engagement, representation, and who will guide local schools through budget and enrollment challenges.
3. Mystery Ingredients Put North Bay Bartenders Under Pressure In Battle Of The Bottle (patch.com) — Healdsburg cocktail fans can cheer on local bartenders from The Matheson, Spoonbar, and Willi's Seafood & Raw Bar as they compete Monday in a high-pressure mixology showdown at Graton Resort & Casino. With mystery ingredients, big cash prizes, and public tasting for a People's Choice award, it's a rare chance to sample creative drinks from across the North Bay in one place.
4. Football roundup: Windsor, Ukiah hang on for dramatic victories; Rancho Cotate, Santa Rosa, Cloverdale among winners (pressdemocrat.com) — Healdsburg High's football team took a tough 40-0 loss to Novato in a Friday matchup, one of several North Bay prep games that shook up local records. Other nearby teams, including Windsor, Ukiah, Rancho Cotate, Santa Rosa, Cloverdale and Sonoma Valley, notched key wins and set the stage for upcoming league play that Healdsburg fans will be watching closely.
