Let's Finish the Animal Shelter and Move On

With all of the surrounding the and the completion of the I thought that I should check this out for situation myself.

I like all of the folks that are involved in this. I like the fact that we have the lowest euthanized animal rates in the county. I want to honor those who have donated thousands of hours of volunteer hours. Animals, animal shelters, boards of directors and the volunteers that keep shelters running can be an emotion charged recipe.

The situation at the Healdsburg Animal Shelter has been difficult. Everyone involved has and does have a passion, a deep passion for what they do there. Thank you for that passion.

I drove over to the new animal shelter that is not complete yet to see for myself how close it is to being finished. As I walked around the building and looked in the windows I was in shock and almost laughing in disbelief when I saw what I saw. The place is just about done. Some rooms even have the light switch plates installed. Very large and high tech climate control systems are in place. It is going to be great.

I encourage everyone to go look in the window and check it out for yourselves. We are so close to finishing this building. It is easy to go see. The driveway is paved, it is level and if you do go I am pretty sure that you will have the same feeling and opinion that I do. This building is going to be a really great home for our animals that have been forgotten and for our volunteers that have invested thousands of hours that should not be forgotten either.
