Magnificent, Incredible Osprey

We went to Geyserville to see an osprey nest today.

“Mom” was on the nest; “Dad” was fishing. Dad brought Mom home a fish. Mom gets agitated and flies off the nest and she flies toward what at first appears to be her mate. Turned out to be a bald eagle.  A BALD eagle. Oh my goodness!

Her haunting voice echoes in my mind’s ear tonight.
