Latest Round of Playoffs: Go Hounds!

Student reporter's interview with Coach Tom Kirkpatrick before Salesian playoff game.

For the football team, tomorrow, December 3rd, is a meaningful day. The football team will be headed down to Richmond to play in the third round of NCS Division IV playoffs.

The team is highly motivated to put forth all of their effort and take the win, head coach said. “Specifically for the game plan, what we are going to do is play as hard as we can and try to execute as well as we can. At that point, the results will take care of themselves.”

Kirkpatrick says he never goes “into a game thinking we don’t have a chance to win.” He said. The boys “are an excellent team, they have size and speed, so we will just have to see how we match up” against Salesian, their rivals in Saturday's playoff game.

As far as the game tomorrow, “technique is so important,” because Salesian “has guys that are 6-foot 7, 300 pounds.” The team will go out with the strength, motivation, and effort needed to fight against the Pride.
