This is crucial to our town’s health. Why? If we keep going at our current rate of the same few types of businesses, our economy will eventually crumble.
For example, what if someday (God forbid), all the grapevines disappeared? All the wineries would go bust at the same time, instantly rendering the town almost completely jobless.

What’s more, all the wine tasting rooms would be gone. And, with people having significantly less money, all the expensive “California” restauraunts would be gone.
That’s about 75 percnet of the town, GONE!!!!!!
So, if we are relying on a single plant to sustain us, what happens if that plant is no more? That plant is kind of like a king, controlling the entire community.
Therefore, the grape is kind of like the king plant, and the wine industry is a monoindustry.
