Amina Figarova brings her celebrated sextet to the stage for opening night of the 2026-2027 season with brand-new music from her upcoming album Flying High Above, including the Havana Suite inspired by her recent trip to Cuba. BY POPULAR DEMAND AND WITH INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY SUPPORT,&nbsp;WHO WILL DANCE WITH PANCHO VILLA?&nbsp;RETURNS TO THE RAVEN!
Who Will Dance with Pancho Villa?&nbsp;played to sold-out audiences in January. First performed off-Broadway in 1994, the playwrights updated the story with the introduction of the&nbsp;Ballet Folklórico Legado de Mi Alegría de Cloverdale Ca&nbsp;while developing the play further through the Raven Players’ ScripTease program. It is the story of a young Chicano from Chicago, lured to the East Coast by an Ivy League scholarship. As he tries to make a life there, he neglects family relationships and deep cultural roots established throughout generations. It takes his mother’s nearly fatal heart attack, help from a Jewish therapist, and the visitation of the spirits of his long dead relatives (and of his historical idol, Pancho Villa) to help him realize what he’s lost, and how to get it back. Dancing spirits, who are intertwined throughout the play, help remind “Chicano” of the joy in dancing, especially when dancing is much more than dancing.

About the music: Songs of Lennon and McCartney features Drew Harrison and Scott Southard, the voices of Lennon &amp; McCartney in one of America’s favorite and critically acclaimed Beatles tribute groups. Our weekly summer concerts in the Healdsburg Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. provide an eclectic and unique line-up of bands, and have been assembled to please a wide array of musical interests. Food vendors will be on-hand to offer locally sourced food for sale starting at 5:00 p.m. with the music beginning at 6:00 p.m.
About the band: Cassie B is a San Diego-based singer, dancer, and bandleader known for energetic performances with her group, the Cassie B Project. A San Diego native, she grew up in musical theater, danced with Culture Shock, and spent 8.5 years performing at SeaWorld. Her band plays top 40, motown, and pop hits for events and serves as the Padres house band. With show stopping talent and extreme passion, Cassie B stops at nothing to create an extraordinary experience you'll never forget.
