2nd Annual BEE in Kenya Dinner and Art Auction

2nd Annual BEE in Kenya Dinner and Art Auction

Event Details

Dragonfly Farm and Floral, 425 Westside Rd, Healdsburg, CA, 95448

On Sept 12, guests are invited to gather at Dragonfly Floral in Healdsburg for a community-driven fundraising dinner benefiting BEE in Kenya, the nonprofit co-founded by beekeeper and Sonoma County Bee Company owner Candice Koseba.

This year's event will also feature an all-art auction, with original works generously donated by an inspiring collection of local and international artists. Local artists Jake Messing, Jessica Martin, and Sebastian Pochan to name a few. Each piece has been donated to help raise critical funds for BEE in Kenya's mission, making art an integral part of an evening dedicated to creating meaningful impact.

BEE in Kenya 501(c)(3)—short for Beekeepers and Educators Engaged in Kenya—works to empower rural Kenyan communities through ecological education and sustainable beekeeping. The organization partners with schools and community organizations throughout Kenya to foster a deeper understanding of natural ecosystems, the essential role of bees, and regenerative beekeeping practices that support environmental stewardship and long-term economic resilience.

Every ticket purchased, every auction bid, and every donation made directly supports BEE in Kenya's programs, helping provide beekeeping equipment, training, educational resources, and opportunities that strengthen both communities and the landscapes they depend on.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of Dragonfly Floral in Healdsburg, the Second Annual BEE in Kenya Benefit Dinner invites guests into an immersive evening celebrating bees, art, land stewardship, and cross-cultural connection. The space will be thoughtfully transformed with Kenyan textiles, handcrafted details, beeswax candles, floral installations, and natural elements that reflect the landscapes and communities BEE in Kenya serves.

The experience includes a thoughtfully curated, family-style dinner celebrating the flavors of the season, complemented by locally sourced wines, non-alcoholic beverages, and a beautifully prepared dessert.

Each guest will leave with a special takeaway gift from Sonoma County Bee Company—a thoughtful reminder of the evening and the shared commitment to supporting bees, sustainable practices, and the global community.
