Is it creepy or kooky, mysterious or spooky? Harold Julander, longtime organist at Kenwood Community Church, had fun selecting toccatas and fugues for the Sunday, Oct. 18, pipe-organ concert at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Healdsburg. Along with the Halloween-leaning themes, he decided to also play Gwyneth Walker's "One Land," written to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation's independence, because he thinks it is the perfect composition for the Bigelow organ at St. Paul's. Admission to the 5 p.m. concert is free. Donations to the church's building maintenance fund will be gratefully accepted. The church is located at the corner of East and Matheson Streets, one block east of Healdsburg's downtown Plaza. Those who cannot attend the live performance are invited to see it online at www.stpauls-healdsburg.org/sunday_organ_series.
