Most likely, you have the ingredients for this stomach calming tea in your kitchen. It’s great for an upset stomach caused by eating too much, indigestion, a hangover, or for those who just love the taste.
Ingredients:
1 to 2 cups of water
2 Tbls. fresh mint, chopped coarsely; or 1 mint tea bag
1 (1/2-inch) piece of fresh ginger, minced
1 tsp. dried or fresh tangerine or orange peel
Honey (optional)
Directions:
- Boil water in a small pot.
- Place mint, ginger and tangerine peel in the hot water. Cover and lower heat, and simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Turn off heat and let steep for an additional 3 minutes.
- Remove herbs by pouring the mixture through a strainer.
- Add honey, if desired, and serve.
It can also be made with ginger and tangerine peel only.
