Crews Fight Kalinda Fire In Western Sonoma County

The vegetation fire was burning along Fort Ross Road in the understory timber, Cal Fire said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Crews were fighting a vegetation fire Monday afternoon in the western area of the county, Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit reported.

The Kalinda Fire was reported at 3:34 p.m. at 21971 Fort Ross Road, near Kalinda Road — east of State Route 1 and west of the town Cazadero.

At 4:30 p.m., the blaze was approximately 1 acre and burning in the understory timber.

"No evacuations at this time," Cal Fire said. "If driving in the area please use caution and give way to emergency vehicles."
