THE GEYSERS, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 struck Friday afternoon near The Geysers in Sonoma County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was recorded at 2:29 p.m. It was centered 3 miles north-northwest of The Geysers and 2 miles below the earth's surface.
