Stefanie Freele, Healdsburg's Literary Laureate presents Robin Ekiss of San Francisco.
What Robin says about the workshop: You’ve just written a poem. Now what? The real work begins: revising for sound, sense, syntax, style, and strength. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll delve into the exigencies of revision−how to think on the fly, take risks, and develop productive fearlessness in the process of tinkering−to make our poems more original and true to their impulses. We’ll explore practical approaches, using each other’s poems as working models and exercises designed to focus and motivate the creative process as we brainstorm new variations in the work.
Please bring two copies of a poem you’d be willing to share and experiment with us. See: robinekiss.com
