Explosives, drugs, and firearm found at North Bay home: SCSO
Sonoma County Sheriffs say they discovered homemade explosives alongside a firearm and methamphetamine at a home.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA —Homemade explosives, a handgun, and suspected methamphetamine were seized during the weekend search of a Windsor home.
Sonoma County Sheriff’s investigators searched the residence of 43-year-old Gabriel Torres in the 900 block of Gemini Drive on Saturday, according to a news release.
Deputies found an unserialized 9mm firearm, suspected methamphetamine, and homemade explosive devices, which were removed by the Sheriff’s Bomb Unit, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Authorities arrested Torres at the scene on suspicion possession of a destructive device, as well as the firearm, ammunition and drugs. During the booking process, deputies found drugs in Torres’ clothing, the Sheriff's Office said.
Torres, described in the news release as a gang member, later posted $30,000 bail and was released.
