Family Safety Fair: Don't Miss It In Healdsburg

HEALDSBURG, CA – The Kiwanis Club of Healdsburg is hosting a Family Safety Fair on Saturday, Sept. 22 -- a free event to guide residents through planning for such potential disasters as wildfires and earthquakes, along with prepping for possible medical emergencies, learning to use a fire extinguisher and properly install car seats, and more.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Foss Creek Community Center at 1557 Healdsburg Ave. in Healdsburg.
The safety fair, sponsored by ATT & Bear Republic Brewing Co., will offer a Bike Safety Rodeo for children, bike-helmet and car-seat giveaways (while supplies last), shredding services for sensitive documents, raffle prizes and a free lunch!

The following agencies will conduct demonstrations and provide safety information:
- Cal Fire: Wildfire Safety and Prevention & Smokey Bear
- California Highway Program: Car Seat Installations and Free Child Car Seats (while supplies last)
- ATT: Virtual Reality Distracted Driving Simulator
- Healdsburg Fire Department: Fire Safety House Tours and Fire Extinguisher Training, COPE information
- Healdsburg Police Department: Crime Prevention, Child Registration and Free Document Shredding
- Healdsburg Electric: Electrical and Power Line Safety
- Sonoma Bike Coalition: Free Bicycle Skills/Bike Rodeo Course and Bike Helmet Giveaway (while supplies last)
- Spoke Folk Cyclery: Free Bike Repairs
- American Red Cross: Disaster Preparedness Information
- Save Lives Sonoma: Hands Only CPR instruction
- Bells Ambulance: Blood Pressure Checks
- PG&E: Utility & Gas Safety information
- Sonoma Co Bookmobile: Book Giveaway
- Soluna Outreach: Recycling information and kits
Lunch will be provided beginning at 10:30 a.m., and raffle prizes will be given away throughout the event, organizers said.
