Fatal Crash Blocks US Highway 101 Near Geyserville
The northern Sonoma County collision involving four or five vehicles was blocking all northbound lanes, according to the CHP.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — All lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 reopened at 6:21 p.m. Friday after being closed for about three hours at the scene of fatal collision near Geyersville. California Highway Patrol confirmed one person died in the northern Sonoma County crash, which was reported at 2:57 p.m. and blocked all northbound lanes, according to the CHP.

The wreck on northbound 101 just north of Geyserville Avenue involved four or five vehicles, with one person reportedly trapped in a vehicle.
CHP Santa Rosa Area Spokesman David deRutte confirmed one person died. The Sonoma County coroner's office was summoned at 3:21 p.m.

A Sig-alert was issued at about 3:15 p.m. and traffic was diverted off of the 101 via the Geyserville Avenue off-ramp.
CHP reported the Sig-alert was canceled at 6:21 p.m. Friday.
