Foot Chase, Arrest At Favorite Healdsburg Market
Police arrested two men Tuesday afternoon, suspected of trying to take goods without paying from a Healdsburg market.
HEALDSBURG, CA —Healdsburg police arrested two men Tuesday afternoon, suspected of trying to take goods without paying from Big John's Market, following a brief chase and the discovery of suspected illegal drugs.
Healdsburg police were called to Big John's about 3:30 p.m. by employees who reported two men taking alcohol without paying.
One suspect remained near a white Nissan sedan in the parking lot, while the other left the store on foot, according to Healdsburg Police Department. Officers found him near Hotel Trio at 3:58 p.m. He was arrested after a chase with police that resulted in minor injuries. Officers found suspected fentanyl and marijuana in a vehicle, according to police.

Security footage showed both suspects entering the store together and leaving with goods they did not pay for. Both men are on active probation, according to Healdsburg police.
They were taken to the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of grand theft, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of probation. One man also faces a charge of resisting arrest.
