Get Dutch Door Donuts Before Shop Closes
This is the last weekend for Dutch Door donuts. The shop closes in Healdsburg Sunday.
HEALDSBURG, CA — The bright orange Dutch door that drew tourists, schoolkids and dessert seekers onto Healdsburg Plaza will close Sunday, ending the shop’s brief but devoted run less than a year after opening.
Dutch Door Donuts announced on Instagram that the owners would shutter the Healdsburg location April 26, thanking the community while calling the shutdown an unexpected end driven by circumstances “beyond our control.”
The boutique donut maker opened in Healdsburg in September 2025 behind its signature orange door with made-to-order unusual flavor combinations and premium prices.

Vanilla bean glaze shared the menu with offerings such as rosemary garlic butter and pistachio cardamom, attracting food tourists and locals wandering over from nearby dining destinations.
In its farewell message, the business invited customers to “come find us where it all began," meaning Carmel-by-the-Sea shop. That location will remain open.

The Healdsburg closing sparked emotional responses online, with remoresful, teary-eyed emojis - "Noooo 😢 this was our kids and my favorite."
There were also invitations: "Oh wow! Best donuts that I’ve had! I bet you guys would do well in @montgomeryvillageca," (referring to Montgomery Village in Santa Rosa). Another wrote: "Come to Roseville!!! We will give you so much love here, this is a donut community!!"
