"God of Carnage" Unleashed in Cloverdale

A playground altercation between two 11-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter.

At first diplomatic niceties are observed but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

"God of Carnage," the play by Yasmina Reza, premiered in New York in 2006, and was made by Roman Polanski into the film "Carnage" in 2011, a sharp and witty film with an all-star cast.

Now you can see it with local talent, in a local venue, at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center. It features Christi Calson, Steven David Martin, Lydia Revelos and TV/Film actor Charles Noland as the clashing and unrestrained parents.

Performance dates are Fridays and Saturdays, May 17,  18, 24 & 25 at 8 pm and Sunday matinees on May 19 & 26 at 2 pm.

This production contains adult language and may not be suitable for all audience members.

Buy tickets online www.cloverdaleperformingarts.com, or in person at Mail Center, Etc. in Cloverdale (707) 894.3222, or at theater before performance.
