Healdsburg Spirit Choir - Sundays 1-2:30 pm. (707) 955-KIDS

The Healdsburg Spirit Choir is a singing group for children age 6-6th grade and open to singers from all area schools (naturally, also homeschoolers). The idea behind the word „spirit“ in this connection is circular. Together we hunt for the spirit of each song and then we set our own spirits loose singing it. Musical discovery and self-expression are the purpose of our choir. Our repertoire is full spectrum: spirituals (of course!), American Songbook, pop songs, Broadway, blues, children's classics, and members' suggestions. We accompany ourselves with acoustic tone and percussion instruments. And when the spirit moves us, we dance. The Spirit Choir meets in the 100-year-old Felta Schoolhouse whose uncommonly resonant acoustics provide the perfect choral setting.
