Health Care Is The Agenda At North Bay Town Hall With Lawmakers
State and DC California lawmakers host a town hall tomorrow on health care coverage: what are leaders in Sacramento and Washington doing?
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — State and federal lawmakers will gather in Santa Rosa Tuesday evening to confront a question many Californians are asking: what are leaders in Sacramento and Washington doing to protect health care?
Mark McGuire, Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman will lead a public town hall at 6 p.m. at Santa Rosa High School, inviting residents to hear updates and question officials directly about the future of health coverage.
Organizers say the forum — American Healthcare on Life Support — will bring together lawmakers, state health leaders, and local doctors and nurses to explain how California is responding to ongoing national health policy debates.

Speakers plan to outline efforts to keep patients insured, keep hospitals and health centers operating, and protect access to reproductive care across the state. They will also discuss legislation aimed at expanding coverage, including the push to make “Healthcare for All” a reality through California Assembly Bill 1900.
The event is designed as a public conversation, with residents encouraged to ask questions and raise concerns about health costs, insurance coverage, and access to care.
