Lafayette Crime Commission Reviews Police Academy Expansion

LAMORINDA, CA — The Lafayette Crime Prevention Commission will meet July 28 to review plans for the Citizen Police Academy, discuss community safety priorities, and hear the latest report on police investigations.

Commissioners are expected to discuss upcoming Citizen Police Academy sessions and the continued implementation of the program, which gives residents an inside look at police operations and public safety responsibilities.

The commission also will review its goals for the coming months, including participation in community programs, special events, and future town hall meetings. Commissioners are expected to discuss the town's e-bike ordinance if new developments warrant consideration.

The agenda also includes the commission's regular Police and Investigations Update Report, providing commissioners with information about current public safety issues and law enforcement activity.

The meeting will conclude with reports from commissioners and the administrative aide before adjournment.
