What an amazing week!
Wednesday I got to introduce my two worlds together. My daily life, co-workers, customers, friends and family to my music life. My jump around the stage make a fool of myself while singing my heart out and just having a good time.
How surreal it was. How amazing it was!
On Wednesday, my band CircusMoon hosted the Open Mic at Frank & Ernie's. We opened the show and performed for about a hour. I am so proud of myself and how I was finally able to take command of the stage and over come my insecurities to give the audience an entertaining show!
I just need to express how blessed I feel to have been a part of the amazing night of creativity that was Wednesday. The performers were outstanding. As I took my place last night in the spot light, I was right where I belonged and surrounded by love. I than had the joy of sharing the wonderful audience with Steph Chevalier, Gary Violin, Lawrence and Tree, Ananta Fiddle-Hooper Ali May, Richard and Dirk.
I learned how to MC an Open Mic on the fly.I got this....ha!
After that amazing rush of creativity, the next day I received an invitation to tour the Prairie Sun Recording where I will be recording my 1st EP. Anyone who is a local and knows the history or a music geek, in general, might recognize the names on their client list. OMG!!!!!!!!! During the tour I felt compelled just to touch the equipment in hopes it would rub off.
Now tonight, Friday I am getting to return to the town of my high-school and do my thing! We will be at Quincy's Pub in Rohnert Park. Show starts at 9pm, $5 cover.
