HEALDSBURG, CA — Healdsburg has been ranked one of the best small towns in the West by USA Today, with the Sonoma County community coming in at No. 3.
“The West is home to some of the most charming and scenic small towns in the country, hosting amazing art communities, tons of outdoor adventure opportunities, and top-notch dining options,” according to the newspaper.
Each of the ranked towns have a population under 25,000 people and were chosen by an expert panel and voted on by readers, according to USA Today.

Ranked between Cody, Wyoming, at No. 4 and Astoria, Oregon, at No. 2, the newspaper described Healdsburg as “a must-visit for wine lovers, foodies, and those seeking small-town luxe.”
“With award-winning wineries, farm-to-table dining, and a walkable town square filled with tasting rooms and boutiques, it is a picturesque retreat,” according to USA Today. “Outdoor enthusiasts can bike through vineyards or enjoy the Russian River's recreational offerings, such as kayaking and fishing, making Healdsburg the perfect destination for both relaxation and exploration.”

No. 1 on the list was Solvang, another Golden State gem, in Santa Barbara County.
